Sliquid Sea

Hits: 1

I’ve got three bottles of various Sliquid Brand lubricants at the moment.  They are easily my favorite brand of lubricant for the moment.  They are natural, contain no glycerin, parabens, DEA, gluten, glycerol, PEG, propylene glycol, sorbitol, and sulphates.  If that wasn’t enough, they are even vegan!

Well, Sliquid Sea doesn’t contain any of the above, what does it contain?  Here’s the short list easily found on the bottle:  Purified Water, Plant Cellulose (from cotton), carrageenan, Nori and Wakame (seaweed extracts), Cyamopsis (Guar Conditioners), Potassium Sorbate, and Citric Acid.

Sliquid Sea comes in a nice little 4.2 ounce bottle.  The bottle is clear, and it has a lovely seafoam green lable on it that tells you everything I just mentioned above.  The lube itself is completely clear.  It is thick, yet thin enough to be easy to get in and out of the bottle.  It isn’t quite as thick as Sliquid Gel, but it stays decently well where you put it.  If you are using a very slippery toy (for example, made of hard plastic as opposed to silicone) then the lube is going to run off.  However, I found that it does stay decently well on more matte surfaces, and on human bodies.

One thing to keep in mind, do not eat this.  While it is non-toxic, it has a sort of mild but unpleasant flavor.  It doesn’t hang around in the mouth for too long, but if you’re the type of person who goes from oral sex to other types of play frequently, this isn’t the lube you’ll want to use.

As an added bonus, the Carrageenan in this lube is suspected to help prevent the transmission of HPV.  How cool is that?  No, that doesn’t mean that you can go ahead and nix the condoms, but you can think of this lube as yet another line of defense in your safer sex arsenal.

As far as uses go, I find that this wonderful lube works equally well for both vaginal and anal play.  It is thick enough that during anal play, I never feel like I need to apply, and for vaginal use, I rarely need more than a drop or two.  Best of all, it doesn’t feel sticky or greasy, and it takes a long while before you need to apply more.

I really like this lube, and I’m going to give it 5 paws:

Thank you so much, GoodVibes, for allowing me to try out this lube in exchange for an honest and fair review.

  1. I love Sliquid Sassy so I can see why you’re happy with their stuff. If I use that I don’t have to take cranberry pills even if I’ve used it for masturbation and didn’t clean up before falling asleep. Miracle. I know there’s an organic version similar to the Sassy but I went with the Sassy because of the very short ingredient list.

Master will even use it without fuss which is very unusual with his sensory processing disorder. Previously, the only lube he liked was O’My.

It’s great for fisting practice. The only problem is it can dry out a bit at the part of the hand that isn’t moving but a spritz of water will fix that

    1. @Lada Aah, I had wondered how the Sassy was. 🙂 I have heard a lot of good things about it, but not tried it yet myself. I’ll have to check it out sometime. 🙂
