Intermediate Spade For Your Butt

I don't have a lot of anal toys, and there's a good reason for that.  Master just is not a huge anal fan.  He plays with my butt, but it doesn't do anything special for him.  Most of the time when my ass gets attention it is from other people, or solo sessions.  I've only really begun expanding my anal horizons in the past year, and my anal experience has been pretty intermediate at best.  I've "out grown" the usefulness of my smaller anal toys, and I really wanted something that would be a challenge, but not so much so that I would be in pain or uncomfortable trying to get it in.

I saw a video review on the Ace Plug Royal, and I was sure I wanted this toy.  I went back and fourth though on whether or not I wanted this one, or the Ace Plug Small.  I was comfortable with 1.5" in diameter toys, and I thought the shape of this one would make it a bit more of a challenge than the ones I already had, which were more streamlined.  I wasn't wrong.

The Ace Plug royal arrived in a gorgeous see-through plastic box, as do most Tantus toys.  Seeing as how the box is see-through, it isn't discreet.  Taking the toy out of the box, I was worried off the bat that it looked bigger than the 1.5" toys I already owned.  I took out a measuring tape, and it turns out that this toy is actually 1.75" in diameter.  Seeing as how that is only about a quarter of an inch difference, I decided that maybe I could manage it, and, at the very least I was going to give it a shot.  Tantus toys last forever, so at the very least, I'd have something I could work up to later.

The Ace Plug Royal is made of silicone.  I prefer silicone lubricants when I'm doing anal play, so this posed a problem for me.  (You do know that you can't use silicone lube on a silicone toy, right?)  In order to get around this, I put a non-lubricated condom over the entire toy and tied a knot in the base.  This worked perfectly, and made for a smoother ride.  Just a side note: most condoms use silicone lube, so I personally use non-lubricated  condoms on silicone toys.  Make sure you're positive that the lube on your condom is water-based or non-existant, or risk losing your beautiful toy to silicone damage.

Getting this beauty in definitely was a challenge.  The gorgeous, shiny silicone is very firm and has next to no give.  I made sure I was warmed up, used plenty of lube, and went slowly - but the first couple of times I tried to use this toy, I couldn't get it in for anything.

I finally did manage to get it in though, and I remember thinking "OWEOWEOWE!" as it slid in.  Before I knew it though, I was over the biggest part and it was in.  The pain was gone, and I was comfortable and diggin' it.  I think that personally, the biggest problem I have getting this toy in is the drastic "slope" of the width.  It may be tapered, but the tapered part is very short, so the toy is asking your butt to accept it very quickly.

Once the toy is in though, it feels amazing.  The base is wide at 2.5" wide, and 1.5" thick, so you don't have to worry about it slipping into the anus.  The toy is 4" insertable, and 4 1/4" long overall.  The stem of the toy is 3.25" in circumference, and is pretty flexible, even if the material itself does not condense.  I find the toy to be comfortable to wear while out and about, sitting at home, or during play time.  I do not, however, find it to be comfortable during vaginal intercourse.  This may be a personal thing, but I prefer very "squishy" anal toys when I am having vaginal sex.  Otherwise, I find that the anal toy just gets hit too much, and causes pain.

Cleaning the toy is easy.  If you used a condom, you can take the condom off, and use some hot, soapy water to be sure that the toy is totally clean.  If you chose to use a water based lube and no condom, you might want to take some more steps.  The toy can be boiled, washed in to the top rack of the dishwasher, or you can use a toy cleaner, 10% bleach solution, or soap and water.  It's up to you.

The box this came in is much larger than the toy itself, so I recycled it, and I just keep this in my "anal toys" drawer of my toy organizer.  I take care to be sure that it doesn't touch other silicone toys, but aside from that this toy stores well.

I really like this toy.  It is made very well (Even if the dimentions are a bit off on the site), and it will last a long time.  While I think that beginners should absolutely stay away, I think that intermediate players, and those looking for a challenge will love this.  5 paws:

All The Cool Kids Like To Shoot Up

(And by "kids" I mean adults 18+!)
And by "shoot up", I mean with lube, of course!  What did you think I meant?  Honestly!

Lube Shooters

The lube shooters from GoodVibes are an interesting little device, and one in which I hadn't seen before.  What you get here is a set of tubes and one plunger, which is designed to help you insert lube anywhere you're like.  I saw these, and the first thing I thought of using them for was anal play.  True, you can use it vaginally - but I don't see the vagina as being as difficult to lube as the anus.  You are welcome to lube whichever you feel more comfortable with, or both!

Showing You The Shooter, Filled

The device is really very simple to use.  Make sure the little black rubber cap on the end is on, then take the plunger out of the other end.  Slowly pour the desired amount of lubricant into the shooter, you can use silicone or water based lubes with no problems.  Next, remove the rubber cap, and slowly depress the plunger until lube starts coming out the other end.  Insert either in the anus or vagina, and depress the plunger as much as you need.
In the above example, I know I overfilled the shooter.  I wanted to make sure you could really see the lube in there.  I hope the picture helps you.  Vaginally, I didn't notice a problem with these.  When I tried to insert this into my anus though, there was a sharp edge on the end of the toy and I snagged my butt a little bit.  It's OK now, but you'll want to make sure to sand any rough edges before you use this anally for the first time.

Lube Coming Out Of The Top Of The Shooter

The mouth of the shooter is much wider than you'd imagine, so it makes putting lubes in there a breeze.  You'll probably want to prep these ahead of time though, since it does take a little bit to get the lube in there.  I recommend prepping it maybe in the morning if you know you're going to have sex that night.  You could even keep the lube in there for a couple of days if you needed to.
Cleaning these is pretty easy.  They are made from ABS plastic, so just scrub them with water and soap, or you could put the tube in the dishwasher.  Bear in mind that unfortunately, the plunger that comes with these is not dishwasher safe.  You could also use a toy cleaner, or a 10% bleach solution.
I really think these make lubing the anus much more pleasant and easy than before I had them, and I love them.  I'm giving them four paws:Thank you so much, GoodVibes, for allowing me the chance to try out these Lube Shooters in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Gigantor

Have you ever looked at an anal toy, and not read the specs carefully enough?  And then, because the toy was so pretty you decided you had to have it?  And of course, the incredibly generous people over at Babeland decided to send it to you.  Then, you take the toy out of its box, and you are shocked by the weight and size of it in your hand.  You already have a name for it.

Gigantor.

Okay, the Icicles Glass Plug isn't the biggest toy in the world, but to an anal beginner like me, it was a bit intimidating.  I will say that I have learned a valuable lesson:  never order any anal toys without double and possibly triple checking the size.  Whoops.

Icicles Glass Plug

Still, I'm persistant.  This thing was going to be in my butt one way or another.  Maybe not too soon, though.  It became my new challenge.  For a while, this toy sat by unused.  I spent several days working with my smaller toys trying to learn to relax my muscles enough to use this.  Up until I got this toy, I'd been using 1.25" in diameter toys.  The Icicles Glass Plug comes in at a whopping 1 3/4" in diameter.

Icicles Glass Plug Box

This is the box the toy comes with.  Unfortunately, the toy doesn't come with a padded bag or anything like that to store it in.  Instead, the box has a foam insert which the toy fits perfectly into.  You could use the box to store the toy without any issues, but I find that the box is a bit too big and bulky, so I crocheted a little anal plug cozy for it.  Since the toy is made out of Pyrex glass, you can heat or cool it using warm or cold water.  Sensation lovers, rejoyce.

Pyrex glass is compatible with all types of lubricants.  Pick your pleasure, but whatever you choose, use a lot of it.  I used silicone lube, and I literally held the bottle over the top of the toy and just let it run in streams off the toy.  Lube is your best friend with this toy.  Don't skimp.

Icicles Glass Plug Close Up

In order to get this bad boy in, I had to warm my butt up.  A lot.  We're talking a whole day of anal play, followed up by Gigantor.  Did it slide right in?  No, not even with all that warm up, but it went in smoothly and with very little pain.  It did hurt me a bit when I was getting past the widest part, but once I was past that, I was good.

Wearing The Icicles Glass Plug

Now that you've got the toy in, what do you do with it?  Well, I found that the toy was uncomfortable for wearing during vaginal intercourse.  It also is not the type of toy you could wear during an outing, because you can't sit on it due to the large size and hardness of the retreival ring.  However, I found that the toy felt wonderful while I was naked around the house walking around doing chores.  It also is a great toy to wear during masturbation, with a vibrator on my clit.  It is very smooth, and has quite a safe and sturdy base so you don't have to worry about it getting lost inside you.  It gives you a nice "full" feeling, and every step you take you notice times ten.  Wonderful.

Cleaning this is simple.  It is glass, so you can boil it for a minimum of three minutes, use a ten percent bleach solution, put it in the top rack of your dishwasher, use soap and water, or even a toy cleaner.  If you sterilize this properly, there's no reason why you can't share this between playmates.  After all, glass is not porous.

I love this toy, but I recommend it for intermediate and advanced players only.  Because it takes so long to get in, I don't think it's going to see a ton of action from me.  Although, that is very likely to change as my anal training progresses.  I'm giving it five paws:Thank you so much, Babeland, for allowing me the chance to try out this toy in exchange for an honest and fair review.

Once You Pop, The Fun Don't Stop

I know what you're thinking!  But no, this isn't going to be a review on Pringles.  It's going to be about something much more fun.  I know that tasty chips in a strange shape sound impossible to beat, but just bear with me, OK?  I present to you Pop Plugs!

Size large, in box.

Pop Plugs come in three sizes, small (1" diameter), medium (1 1/4" diameter), and large (1 1/2" diameter), so you can choose the size which works best for you.  Pop Plugs are one solid chunk of pure silicone, so they are body safe and phalates free.  I did not notice any smell at all coming off of mine.  The toy has a safe and very sturdy base so you don't need to worry about it getting sucked up and lost inside your body.  On the very bottom, there's even a small flexible ring for easy removal.  Nice!

Here's a close up of the base of the Pop Plug in Large. With that ring, it almost looks like a pacifier for you butt, doesn't it?

I wish the color would show up better with my camera, but this toy is actually a bit darker than it looks in my pictures.  Think "bubblegum pink", more that shade.  The very front of the toy is tapered, and it gets larger as you follow the toy down.  The widest point is 1.5" in diameter, and then the toy tapers down and has a very safe flared base on the bottom.  The entire toy is smooth and free of anything which may hurt your butt.  Pop Plugs have a matte finish, so you'll definitely want to use a bit of extra lube to ease it into place.

Once quick note about lube.  Recently, I discovered that silicone lubes were most comfortable for me for anal purposes.  This poses a bit of a problem because most of the anal toys I have (but not all) are made from silicone.  (And you know that you can't put silicone lube on a silicone toy, right)?  Silicone is a wonderful material because it is not porous which makes it body safe, so very desirable for anal.  I came up with a pretty simple solution to make my silicone anal toys a bit more comfortable to play with.  All you need is a non-lubricated condom (be careful, because a lot of times the lubricant on lubricated condoms is silicone based!) and roll it all the way down the length of the toy.  Tie a knot in the bottom of the condom to be sure that no lubricant gets on the toy at all.  This will not work on long toys, because the condom may not reach.  This will only work if you are able to tie a knot in the bottom of the condom!  Just a forewarning.  If your condom doesn't reach, you'll have to be sure to use plenty of water-based lube instead.  Note:  this worked perfectly with my Pop Plug.  The ring on the bottom is flexible, so you can just "lock" it right into the condom with the rest of the toy without issue.

A full view of the plug, in Large

This toy is so comfortable to wear, it's rediculous.  Sometimes Master will just walk over to me with a bottle of lube and a smile and hand me the toy to put in.  Sometimes he even does this before we go out somewhere.  I've gone on errands and to the hot tub with this in, and it is a joy to wear.  It feels comfortable, and very sexy.  I can sit with it in easily, and when I walk or move there's a subtle sexy reminder constantly exciting me.  When I put a condom on it with silicone lube, I can wear this indefinitely.  If I use water based lube, I find that it is really comfortable for an hour or two, and then I need to reapply lube or take it out.

When you wear this under clothes in public, it's not noticable under pants or anything like that.  However, we've worn this in the hot tub before, and if I bend over in my bathing suit Master tells me he can just barely see the removal ring of the toy.  It's not likely that anyone else will notice this, but it's a good idea to be aware of it, and keep the bending to a minimum if you prefer covert play, or you aren't around people who will understand.

Cleaning is a cinch.  If you used a condom as I outlined above, you just throw the condom away and I like to wash the toy with soap and water anyway, just to be sure.  You could also use a 10% bleach solution, wash this in the dishwasher on the top rack, or use a toy cleaner or boil this.  You can share your Pop Plug between partners since it is not porous, just be sure to sterilize it properly first, or use a condom.

I really love my Pop Plug, and I think a lot of other people will enjoy it too.  5 paws!

Thank you so much, Babeland, for allowing me to try out this toy in exchange for an honest and fair review.
