Tomorrow is my first photo shoot in a couple of years.  Back when I lived in MA, I was friendly with a few photographers, and I would go on shoots maybe once a week or so.  Sometimes more, but usually once per week with my favorite photographer.  (Love you, T Bear!).  About a year after I started doing some modeling, I wound up getting sick with things one right after the other.  Pleurisy (infection of the lining of the lung.  So painful), then I got mono, and kidney stones, and really, I had no energy or time for photos anymore.

A few weeks ago, I noticed I had a new email on my modelmayhem.com account so I logged in to respond.  While I was there, I decided to update it, since it hadn’t been done in a few years.  Changed my weight, (I’ve gone down 30 pounds from my first photo shoot!), my location (no longer in MA anymore) and add a recent photo of myself.  Well, about a day or so later, I got an email from someone interested in shooting with me.  I hadn’t really thought about modeling again, I’m so busy with other things going on in my life, but I figured it’s only one photographer, and it’ll be fun!  I don’t really have any recent professional pictures of myself.  So.  Tomorrow.

I’m kind of nervous, truth me told.  Not about shooting.  I’m a total ham in front of the camera.  Not about my body.  I’m pretty comfy in my own skin.  Just nervous about the prospect of meeting a new person.  New people do make me a tad bit nervous.  I’m sure it will go well though.  Master will be there.  Due to the nature of the type of photographs I tend to take, I never ever go to shoots alone.

So yeah.  Wish me luck!  Rest assured I will probably post pictures here, if I like any.    (And in a four hour long shoot, you would hope there’s at least a few I’ll like.  Lol!)

And just for shits and giggles, here’s a picture of myself in my very first photo shoot.  I’m 30 pounds heavier in it than I am now, so no picking on me for my weight!  😛  Master actually did the rigging for the shoot, and was totally off camera holding a string that would hold me up from the spreader bar.  lol!

Oh, and before anyone asks, this is a hobby of mine.  I am not in any way a professional model, nor am I trying to be so.  It’s just a fun thing I do from time to time.

  1. I hope you have a great time. 🙂
I find new people scary too. Master makes it easier for me. Which is funny because I'm usually his 'safe person'.

  2. *hug* Hope you have a great time sweetie, and don't be nervous, he'll love you 🙂

Wow…that picture…wow! Doesn't matter what size or style your wearing kitty, you always look beautiful 🙂
