Sheepy Kitty

Rosie, My Glo-Worm

“Are You Sheepy Kitty?”

“Nuh-uh.”  Eye lids start to droop

“You’re sure about that?”  Knowing smile

Eye lids open wide “Yup.  Kitty good kitty.  Kitty want be up wif Master.”

“Kitty want tuck?” Wide grin

Sigh “Yes Master.”

A couple years ago, Master decided I had a bed time.  Initially, I didn’t like it, because it wasn’t something I was able to just do overnight.  Sure, I went to bed when Master put me there, but I didn’t fall asleep right away for a while.  Eventually I got used to the bed time rule, and I found that I had more energy during the day, and a lot less insomnia than I did before, though it still haunts me now and then.

When I broke my foot about six weeks ago, Master started letting me stay up late.  We both knew that I wasn’t going to be working in the morning, not for a while anyway, and it was just nice to be together.  Of course, here we are several weeks later, and I’m still not back at work because I’m still trapped in the boot.

My body is beginning to adjust to our late night escapades again, and I’m not falling asleep right away, even when Master puts me to bed at midnight or later!  Because of this, he told me (excluding weekends) that he’s going to start putting me to bed at my usual 10PM time again.  I’m a bit bummed because I saw it as a sort of “perk” to the broken foot.  Sort of, something I could look forward to.  I do understand, and I know it’s not a punishment, it’s for my own good.

  1. Getting used to a bed time was very hard for me. I used to be a night owl but then I wouldn’t get enough sleep and be cranky. I find that I have really benefited from having a bed time now.

I love Rosie! Very cute. 😀

    1. Thanks @Padme! =^^= For the most part I’m used to my bed time now, but I just dislike going to bed when I have no reason (for the moment) to get up. I’m sure I’ll get used to it quickly though. 🙂

      Rosie says “Hi!” =^^=

  2. Aww poor kitty. Well it is for your own good after all so I guess the best thing is to stick to your bed time to help you out. You’ll be ready and full of energy when the boot comes off too if you do.

    1. @Noba Very true! I like my bed time usually, it’s just frustrating right now because I have nothing important to wake up for till my foot is healed. Still, hopefully more sleep will do my foot some good. 🙂

  3. So much about BDSM lifestyle relationships is attractive to me, however, reading things like this really makes me feel like it would be completely impossible for me to adapt.

I could not imagine having a bed time.

    1. Well, just because you do not like aspects of my and Master’s relationship does not mean you wouldn’t enjoy a D/s dynamic. Every relationship is different. Ours has a bed time, yours would not have to. Communication with your partner is key. 🙂

      1. You’re right 🙂 I’ve been reading your blog forever and so much of it is super hot. I think what I more meant is that I might resent some aspects of control over my personal habits in a big way – the bedtime thing was a big trigger just reading about it. I thought to myself “how is that tolerable???”

I think I’d really have to outline what I’d like to get out the dynamic very solidly before giving it a serious try. This was a learning experience for me in that I was surprised I even HAD a reaction to something so mild as a bedtime. So, thanks!

        1. Hey @Nikki! =^^=

I’m glad that my post helped you. Every relationship is definitely different, and every relationship will have its own unique rules. I don’t know very many who do have a bed time personally, and most of the things Master and me do I don’t see many others doing, or very few do them. The most important thing is what works for you and your partner, not what other people are doing.

Also, a lot of people reading my blog don’t realize that Master and me have been playing for more than nine years. At this point in our relationship, I have a lot less choices and a lot less issues with giving up certain activities (like staying up) than I would have had initially. Not that you are the same as me, I just wanted to point out that over time things do change. 🙂

I wish you lots of luck!
