Merry Happy

Xmas and Xmas Eve have come and gone, and we had a great little mid-week break.  =^^=  Master Pravus’ boss surprised him the day before Xmas Eve by telling him he could work from home on Xmas Eve.  We were excited!

Festivus started out nice but didn’t end how we wanted it to.  :/  We decided we were going to go to Denny’s for our “Festivus Feast”.   Master Pravus got me a salad and chicken noodle soup and himself a burger.   As is Festivus tradition, we did our “airing of grievances” over dinner.  We were laughing and flirting and having fun and the creepiest guy came in right behind us.

When I say creepy: he had a huge backpack, a big hunch, and was muttering noisily about how someone must have stolen his pills.  He kept making eye contact with me (or trying to), and we both got really uncomfortable.  He started taking random things out of his backpack and throwing them on the table.  He was getting really loud and scary at that point so we paid and left, without finishing dinner.  🙁

We planned to go home after that for Festivus wrestling, but Master Pravus took me somewhere to try and get my mind off the scary guy.  It was dark, and I had no idea where we were going.  Master Pravus walked me a short ways along a sidewalk and eventually I figured out we were going to a video game store.  I really didn’t need any new games, but he picked out Tropico 3 for me.  It is a sort of Sims game where you run an island.  I like it a lot more than I thought I would.

The rest of Festivus was kind of lackluster.  I felt somewhat shaken and not very much in the Festivus spirit. :/

Xmas eve was lovely though!  I started guzzling a ton of black tea early in the day to try to be awake for Santa.  We tracked Santa all day on NORAD and waited for him to come.  We had special Xmas Eve dinner, played video games, etc.  It was really fun and relaxing.

At 12:30 AM it was obvious Santa was running behind because he was at least an hour away.  I tried so hard to stay up, but at that point I had to give up because I was just too sleepy.  🙁

We went to bed but I woke up before 8AM.  ZeeBee was the most excited this year so he opened his present first: a bowl of chocolate oats! =^^=

Applepig got new striped Star Wars socks.  Tee hee.  I’ll have to get a picture of them soon.

Master Pravus got a giant Monster Energy drink, corned beef hash, peanut M+Ms, and the new Lara Croft Xbox 360 game.

I got two dark chocolate caramels, a Godiva chocolate bar, silly putty, a slinky, Hello Kitty chapstick, an instant heater (the shaky kind) chocolate coins, and a new tablet.  Thank you, Santa.  =^^=

Serenade didn’t suffer either.  She got a catnip infused dragonfly, and she played with it all day.  😀

The day was pleasant, but, I was half asleep because Master Pravus wouldn’t let me have as much caffeine.  🙁  With the anemia, caffeine is the only thing that keeps me going nowadays.  It was a really low-key day, but nice nonetheless.
