Up and Down Banana

I’ve been really sick lately.  I got a bad case of food poisoning that dropped my potassium levels a lot.  Then, my doc decided to restart my steroid because my POTS has been really bad again.  Of course, restarting the steroid made my potassium even worse so we have had to stop it until I get my levels up (and keep them up) for a while.  Sucky.  I’ve been to the emergency room a few times over the past week and got potassium there, and I’ve got a prescription for heavy duty potassium. 

I’m eating avocados and bananas and coconut water and anything else I can think of to get my levels up, but in the meantime, I’m a lot sicker than I was the last time this happened and I’ve been having a really hard time getting around the house.  Even minor activity is taxing as fuck.  My cardiologist says to give it three or four weeks for the potassium to get back where it needs to be.

In some good news, though, Master Pravus has had three second interviews with various companies last week.  No offers yet, but the types of jobs he applies for seem to take their time.  Some of these second interviews are for companies that Master Pravus had his first interview with weeks ago.  So, it’s nice to get a few calls back and to keep things moving forward.

Not much else to report right now.  I’m hoping that my potassium levels get back up to where I’m a lot less symptomatic soon, and that Master Pravus finds a job.  I know we will get there, but I wouldn’t mind sooner rather than later.
